Resolving a case from Case Center

ResearchingShared platformCase Center

Problem: You can now read and reply to a case in SellerHint, but resolving one — refunding, escalating, accepting or declining a return, closing it — still means going to eBay at the point where speed matters most.

What it would give you: Finish a supported case without leaving the workspace where you noticed it, with the same review-before-send discipline used elsewhere.

Current scope

  • Understanding which resolution actions can be performed reliably through the marketplace interfaces available
  • Designing a confirmation step so a refund is never a single accidental click

Excluded

  • Responding to a case is already available and is not part of this item
  • Refunds and money movement are the hardest part and are not committed to

Create marketing campaigns from SellerHint

ReleasedShared platformMarketing

Problem: Campaigns could be reviewed in SellerHint but had to be created on eBay, so setting one up meant leaving the workspace and losing context.

What it would give you: Create a campaign against the store you are already working in, using the exact item identity.

Current scope

  • Campaign creation for a single connected store, in both products

Excluded

  • Cross-store campaign creation is not planned
  • Budget optimisation and bid automation are not in scope

Marketing performance reporting

ReleasedShared platformMarketing

Problem: Judging whether a campaign is working meant exporting reports from the marketplace by hand.

What it would give you: Review campaign performance next to the listings and orders it relates to.

Current scope

  • Performance figures the marketplace returns, presented per store, in both products

Excluded

  • Attribution modelling and forecasting are not in scope
  • No projection or estimate of future sales is produced

First release of SellerHint Web

In progressSellerHint WebSellerHint Web

Problem: Sellers who are away from their Mac have no way to review orders, messages or inventory in SellerHint.

What it would give you: Browser-based access to a defined subset of seller operations, as a separate product.

Current scope

  • A separate account system, backend, database and storage
  • A confirmed initial feature set, published before launch rather than assumed

Excluded

  • No synchronisation with SellerHint for Mac is included
  • Multiple users on one workspace is not included
  • Feature parity with SellerHint for Mac is not the goal of a first release

More than one person on one SellerHint account

Not plannedShared platformShared platform

Problem: Small teams sometimes want to split order and message work between people.

What it would give you: Not applicable while this remains out of scope.

Excluded

  • Not planned for either product. There are no seats, roles or permissions.
  • SellerHint Web is priced per account precisely because there is no seat model behind it.
  • Sharing one set of credentials between people is not a supported way to work around this.

A data path between SellerHint for Mac and SellerHint Web

Under considerationShared platformShared platform

Problem: Sellers reasonably expect two products from the same brand to share information, and today they share nothing.

What it would give you: A defined, reviewable way to move product information between the two products.

Current scope

  • Understanding what sellers actually need to move, and in which direction
  • Establishing what a safe boundary between two separate backends would look like

Excluded

  • No synchronisation exists today, in either direction
  • Automatic or continuous synchronisation is not assumed to be the answer
  • Shared accounts and shared subscriptions are not part of this item

Support for marketplaces other than eBay

Not plannedShared platformShared platform

Problem: Some sellers list on more than one marketplace and manage each one separately.

What it would give you: Not applicable while this remains out of scope.

Excluded

  • SellerHint is currently centred on eBay seller operations
  • No other marketplace is supported, and none is being built
  • SellerHint should not be described as a multichannel platform

Complete the documentation set

In progressWebsite and documentationDocumentation

Problem: The documentation taxonomy is defined but many articles are still planned rather than written, which leaves gaps at exactly the points where a new user needs help.

What it would give you: Every workspace has a written article covering setup, expected result, limitations and troubleshooting.

Current scope

  • Writing the planned articles listed in the documentation taxonomy

Excluded

  • Articles for planned features stay unpublished until the feature ships

Giving useful feedback

The most useful feedback describes the problem and the workflow, not only the feature name. Tell us what you were trying to do, what you do today instead, how often it comes up, and what goes wrong. A request framed that way can be solved; a feature name on its own often cannot.
