- SellerHint for Mac, Mac supporting services, Support, Apple billing
Local first, with online features you choose. Your catalog and drafts are stored on your Mac. Connecting eBay, uploading media, purchasing Pro, or using an optional cloud account involves the online processing described below.
Cloud media URLs are shareable. Anyone with a SellerHint cloud image or video URL can view that file. Do not upload confidential documents, customer records, or other sensitive content to the cloud media library.
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
SellerHint is operated by SHADEZCO LLC (“SellerHint,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy covers the SellerHint native macOS app, the online services that support that app, and related support communications. It applies to Free and Pro users. The current App Store release is intended for the United States and supported eBay US workflows.
A SellerHint account is not required for local Free use or an App Store Pro subscription. Some online features, including optional cloud accounts, depend on availability and configuration. This policy describes their processing when you use them; it does not mean every described feature is enabled in every version.
SellerHint Web is a separate product with a separate data environment. This policy does not describe that product’s private web workspace or imply that its records automatically synchronize with your Mac.
2. Information stored on your Mac
The app stores your working data locally, including product and inventory records, listing drafts, titles, descriptions, SKUs, prices, item specifics, images and videos, templates, connected-store references, preferences, and workflow history. If you import marketplace information, local records may also include orders, buyer and shipping details, messages, returns, cases, offers, performance reports, and transaction information.
Local files and databases support the features you use. Credentials needed by the app are protected using the macOS Keychain where implemented. Local logs may contain workflow details, store names, identifiers, file paths, and error information; they should be reviewed before you share them.
Keeping a local catalog does not upload the entire catalog to SellerHint cloud storage. Data needed for online marketplace operations passes through our backend as described below. Files you select for upload or publication may be sent to the relevant service. Any backups you create, or backups performed by macOS or other software you configure, are controlled separately by you and those services.
3. Connecting and working with eBay
When you connect an eBay account, eBay authorizes SellerHint to perform the operations covered by the permissions you grant. Our backend receives authorization tokens and stores protected connection records, such as the eBay account identifier, store display information, permission scopes, credential status, and connection timestamps. You sign in through eBay’s authorization flow; SellerHint does not ask you to send us your eBay password.
Depending on granted permissions and the features used, SellerHint retrieves or processes listings, inventory, fulfillment and order information, buyer contact and delivery details, messages, offers, returns and cases, seller policies, and performance or marketing information. Our backend processes requests and marketplace responses to deliver these features to your Mac. It also maintains connection and workflow records required to perform supported operations.
When you publish or revise a listing, send a message or offer, update an order, or perform another marketplace action, the relevant content and identifiers are sent to eBay. Listing content and media you publish may become publicly visible under eBay’s rules. eBay independently retains and uses information under its User Privacy Notice.
You are responsible for using buyer and other third-party information only for authorized seller purposes and in accordance with applicable law and marketplace requirements.
4. Optional cloud images and videos
When you upload media, we receive the file and store it using Cloudflare’s storage and delivery services. We keep metadata needed to manage the library, such as the file identifier, owner or installation reference, content hash, file size, type, creation time, storage usage, and subscription entitlement reference. Upload access depends on your eligible subscription and the applicable storage allowance.
Cloud media is served through public shareable URLs, not private authenticated download links. Anyone who obtains a URL may access the associated file, including when the URL appears in an eBay listing. An unguessable URL is not a guarantee of confidentiality. Uploaded images or videos may themselves contain personal information or embedded metadata. Review files before uploading.
Without a SellerHint cloud account, library management is tied to the original installation’s protected credential. Restoring a purchase can restore eligible Pro access, but does not by itself recover or transfer a previous installation’s guest media library. Losing the original credential can prevent self-service access to that library.
If optional Sign in with Apple is available and you choose it, we create a cloud account using an Apple identity reference and protected authorization and session records. The app does not request your name or email for this sign-in. Linking this Mac’s existing guest library is a separate, explicit action. A linked cloud account can manage its linked media on another authorized Mac; this does not automatically synchronize the full local catalog.
5. Apple subscriptions and sign-in
Apple handles App Store purchases, renewals, billing, and payment methods. SellerHint receives StoreKit transaction and entitlement information needed to verify Pro access, including product and transaction identifiers, purchase or expiration status, signed transaction records, and an app-specific account token used to associate entitlement with the correct installation or cloud account. Our server may exchange this information with Apple and receive signed subscription notifications.
We do not receive your full payment-card number or the payment credentials you provide to Apple. Purchase history and subscription identifiers are used to validate access, handle restoration, allocate storage, and prevent misuse.
For optional Sign in with Apple, Apple provides identity and authorization credentials. We use verified identity references and protected session records to authenticate access, revalidate authorization, link libraries you explicitly choose to link, and process account deletion. Apple handles its services under its Privacy Policy.
6. Operational data, optional diagnostics, and support
The app and supporting services use limited operational information to maintain service health and security. This may include an opaque installation or support identifier, app version and build, consent settings, connection health, event names, timestamps, operation outcomes, record counts, durations, and sanitized failure codes.
Optional Usage Analytics and Sanitized Diagnostics are off by default and can be managed in the app’s Advanced settings. Changing those settings controls future optional submissions; essential operational and security processing continues. Our administrative telemetry is designed to exclude listing and message content, buyer and order content, passwords, OAuth tokens, typed text, hardware identifiers, raw logs, and file-path stack traces. Opaque identifiers are still handled as information requiring protection; we do not assume they are anonymous.
Separately, our infrastructure providers may process IP addresses, user agents, request URLs, timestamps, and security or network logs when your device contacts online services. This network processing is distinct from the app’s sanitized administrative telemetry.
If you email support or choose to share a diagnostic file, we receive your email address, message, attachments, and any information you include. We use it to respond, investigate your issue, and maintain support records. Do not send passwords, authorization tokens, payment credentials, or unnecessary buyer information. Review and redact logs and screenshots before sending them.
7. Why we use information and who receives it
We use information to provide the workflows you request; connect authorized marketplace accounts; store and deliver uploaded media; authenticate cloud access; verify purchases; manage storage allowances; provide support; maintain reliability; detect abuse; protect users and systems; and comply with legal obligations. Optional analytics and diagnostics help us understand feature use and investigate failures when you enable them.
- Service providers: Cloudflare operates backend hosting, databases, media storage, network delivery, and security infrastructure. Support communications are handled through our email services. This public policy page is hosted through Cloudflare. Providers acting on our behalf are required to use information for authorized service purposes and protect it consistently with this policy and applicable law.
- Services you choose: We exchange information with eBay for authorized marketplace workflows and Apple for billing and optional authentication. Those services also process information independently under their own policies.
- Public media and marketplace content: Others can access cloud files through their shareable URLs and content you publish through marketplace workflows.
- Legal and security needs: We may disclose information when required by law or valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect safety and rights, enforce agreements, or defend legal claims.
- Business changes: Relevant information may be transferred in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of business assets, subject to appropriate safeguards and any notice or consent required by law.
We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use the Mac app to track you across other companies’ apps and websites for advertising. We do not use imported buyer data or marketplace message content for advertising.
8. How long information is retained
Retention depends on the information and the service involved. We consider the time needed to provide the requested service, maintain security, resolve disputes, support restoration and deletion, and satisfy recordkeeping obligations. We do not apply one deletion deadline to every category.
| Category | Retention approach |
|---|---|
| Local catalog, files, and logs | Remain on your Mac until removed through available app controls or by you. Uninstalling the app may leave its application data, Keychain entries, and your backups. |
| eBay connections | Kept while needed for your authorized connection and related workflows. Disconnecting or revoking access stops future authorized access; request deletion of remaining server-held information if needed. |
| Cloud media | Kept until deleted through authorized library controls, account deletion, or another applicable removal process. Subscription cancellation or expiry does not immediately delete existing cloud media or invalidate its URLs. There is no automatic deletion of abandoned guest libraries in this version. |
| Cloud account and session records | Kept to authenticate and manage the account. Sessions expire or are revoked. Account deletion removes account-associated media and authentication records after required cleanup completes. |
| Purchase and entitlement records | Kept as needed to verify subscriptions, restore eligibility, prevent abuse, handle billing disputes, and meet legal obligations. Deleting a cloud account does not necessarily erase purchase records. |
| Operational and support records | Kept for troubleshooting, security, support, and documented operational needs; subject to applicable cleanup policies. Infrastructure-provider logs and backups may follow separate retention schedules. |
Deletion can take time where queued cleanup, storage reconciliation, backups, legal requirements, or fraud prevention apply. We restrict retained information to the purpose that justifies retention. Deletion from SellerHint cannot remove copies already held by eBay, Apple, recipients, search caches, or other independent services.
9. Your controls and deletion options
- Local data: Use available product, draft, media, and store controls to manage local records. Export or back up anything you wish to retain before removal. Local deletion does not automatically delete cloud copies or end published eBay listings.
- eBay: Disconnect the store in SellerHint or revoke SellerHint’s authorization in your eBay account settings. Revocation does not delete records previously imported onto your Mac or information eBay retains.
- Cloud files: Delete files through the cloud media library using the authorized installation or linked account. Removing a cloud file may break media links in published listings.
- Cloud account: Where available, use the cloud-account deletion control under Account settings. Deletion requires fresh Apple authentication. Account media is hidden when deletion starts; final cleanup may remain pending and require retrying. Signing out alone does not delete the account, local files, or marketplace connections.
- Subscription: Manage or cancel through Apple’s subscription settings. Deleting a SellerHint cloud account, uninstalling the app, or disconnecting eBay does not cancel an App Store subscription.
- Optional telemetry: Disable Usage Analytics or Sanitized Diagnostics in Advanced settings. You can also contact us about information already submitted.
If you cannot access an account or the original guest-library credential, contact us. We must verify your authority before disclosing, transferring, or deleting protected data. A subscription receipt alone does not prove ownership of a particular guest library, and we cannot promise recovery where ownership cannot be established.
10. Privacy requests and applicable rights
You may contact us to ask what information we hold about you, request access or a copy, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, or raise a concern about its use. Depending on your state of residence and whether an applicable privacy law covers our processing, you may have additional rights, including portability, restrictions on certain uses of sensitive information, opt-out rights, and an appeal of a denied request. We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you solely through automated profiling.
Send requests to support@sellerhint.com with “SellerHint Mac Privacy Request” in the subject. Describe the request and the relevant service or support identifier, if known. Please do not include passwords, tokens, full payment details, or unnecessary personal documents.
We may ask for information proportionate to verifying your identity and authority. An authorized agent may submit a request, subject to verification of their authority and any requirements of applicable law. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any lawful exception or limitation. If a request is denied, you may reply with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject; we will review it and provide any appeal information required by law. You may also contact your state privacy regulator or attorney general.
We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights. Some data is needed to provide particular features, and deleting it or withdrawing necessary authorization can make those features unavailable. Information stored only on your Mac is generally under your direct control rather than available for us to retrieve remotely.
11. Security and where information is processed
We use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the service, including HTTPS for online service connections, protected credentials, access controls, authorization checks, and separation of product data environments. Local protection also depends on your Mac’s security settings, user accounts, disk encryption, and backups. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
SellerHint’s US availability does not mean every network request or stored record stays exclusively within the United States. Cloudflare, Apple, email services, and other infrastructure may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. We apply applicable protections to information handled for our services. Cloud media is deliberately accessible through shareable URLs as explained above.
12. The policy website and external links
This website does not add advertising pixels or custom analytics scripts. If you request a Mac launch notification, we store your email address, consent and signup date with Cloudflare for up to 12 months or until you request removal at support@sellerhint.com, and use it for the Mac App Store launch notice. Cloudflare hosts and protects this website and may process standard connection information and use essential platform technologies. Its independent handling is described in Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
When you follow an external link, your browser contacts the destination service under that service’s policy. SellerHint does not control third-party sites, their cookies, or their handling of information you independently provide. Using this page does not sign you into the SellerHint Mac app or connect an eBay account.
13. Children’s privacy
SellerHint is a seller and business productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate steps, including deletion where required.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as features, providers, practices, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy and update its date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice through the app or another appropriate channel and obtain consent where required. New features involving different data processing will be described before or when that processing begins.

SellerHint Web Privacy Policy
- Effective date
- Not set — draft
- Last updated
- 2026-10-12
- Applies to
- SellerHint Web, Web supporting services
1. Scope and status
This is a draft for the separate SellerHint Web product operated by SHADEZCO LLC. It is not in force and has no effective date. It will be finalised against the Web application’s actual practices before launch.
SellerHint Web and SellerHint for Mac have separate accounts, billing, backends, databases, media, settings, drafts and marketplace connections. Using one does not automatically share its data with the other. The published Mac policy does not make this Web draft effective.
2. Information the Web service handles
The proposed Web service stores its working data remotely rather than primarily on your Mac. Depending on the features you use and the permissions you grant, its privacy disclosures will cover:
- Account identifiers, authentication records and subscription status.
- Product titles, SKUs, descriptions, categories, item specifics, variations, images, drafts and templates.
- eBay connection identifiers, permission scopes, authorisation records and connection status.
- Marketplace listings, quantities, seller policies, orders, delivery details, buyer information, messages, offers, campaigns and cases.
- Support messages and attachments you choose to send.
- Technical request and security information, such as IP addresses, browser details and timestamps.
3. eBay connections and authorised actions
Connecting a store involves eBay authorisation and the separate Web backend. Marketplace reads and writes process the content and identifiers needed for the action you request. Content you publish on eBay is subject to eBay’s own practices. Do not send passwords or marketplace credentials through support.
4. Storage and uploaded media
Web product records and uploaded media are held by the Web service. The final policy will identify the hosting providers, storage locations, access controls and whether media URLs are public or require authentication. No claim of private media delivery or US-only storage is made in this draft.
5. Billing and authentication
Web billing is separate from Mac App Store purchases. The final policy will name the Web payment and authentication providers and describe the transaction references, account records and payment information each receives. This draft does not assume the Mac app’s Apple billing or sign-in arrangements apply to Web.
6. Cookies, diagnostics and analytics
The final policy will describe authentication cookies or browser storage, essential security processing, optional analytics and diagnostics, consent controls and any retention periods. The public website’s appearance preference is separate from the Web application’s future session technologies.
7. Purposes and recipients
The intended purposes are to provide the requested seller workflows, maintain authorised store connections, store working records, manage access and billing, respond to support, protect the service and meet applicable obligations. The final policy will identify the actual providers, disclosures and any applicable legal bases. Advertising and data-sharing practices must be verified before a statement is made about them.
8. Retention, export and deletion
The final policy must explain retention for account data, marketplace records, uploaded files, subscription records, operational logs, support records and backups. It must also describe export and account deletion controls, identity verification, cleanup delays and any information retained for security or legal reasons.
Deleting Web data, disconnecting eBay, revoking permission on eBay and cancelling Web billing are separate actions. None automatically removes Mac data or cancels an Apple subscription.
9. Privacy requests and security
You can send questions about this draft to support@sellerhint.com using the subject “SellerHint Web Privacy Request”. Do not include passwords, tokens, full payment details or unnecessary buyer records. The final policy will explain applicable rights, request verification and response processes, together with technically verified security measures and international processing arrangements.
10. Finalisation and changes
Before SellerHint Web launches, this draft will be checked against the finished service, its providers, consent settings and deletion behaviour. A version and effective date will be published when the policy is finalised. Until then, this tab remains a draft.
Cloudflare services
SellerHint uses Cloudflare for website hosting, backend services, databases, and cloud media storage and delivery. Information needed for these services is processed through Cloudflare. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy for its own data-handling practices.
For SellerHint for Mac, the working catalog is stored primarily on your Mac. Information needed for online features is processed through the supporting services described in the Mac policy. Cloudflare’s policy supplements this policy; SellerHint remains responsible for explaining its own practices and handling your privacy requests.
Website privacy and privacy requests
If you request a Mac launch notification, we store your email address, consent and signup date with Cloudflare for up to 12 months, or until you ask us to remove it. We use it for the Mac App Store launch notice. This does not create an app account or connect an eBay store. To withdraw your request, email support@sellerhint.com.
This public website adds no advertising pixels or custom analytics scripts. Cloudflare hosts and protects the site and may process standard connection and security information.
For either product, contact support@sellerhint.com. Include “SellerHint Mac Privacy Request” or “SellerHint Web Privacy Request” in the subject. Do not send passwords, tokens or unnecessary buyer information.
