Four different actions

Delete your SellerHint account: Removes the account itself. This is what this page is about.
Cancel a subscription: Stops billing. It does not delete your account, and deleting your account is not automatically a cancellation — check both.
Disconnect an eBay store: Stops SellerHint using that authorisation. Your SellerHint account continues to exist.
Remove local SellerHint data: Deletes the copy of your catalog and images held on your Mac. Because SellerHint for Mac is local-first, this is under your control and is not the same as deleting an account.

Starting deletion in each product

SellerHint for Mac

Account deletion is available in the application. Your local catalog and images live on your Mac, so removing them is a separate step you carry out yourself, and a backup you have already taken is not affected by an account deletion.

SellerHint Web

Account deletion is available in the application, under your account settings. Your data is held on SellerHint's servers rather than your own machine, so deletion removes it from there.

The form below is a fallback route for people who cannot access the application. Support does not need to be phoned; a written request is enough.

What deletion covers

The account record and its authentication information
Store authorisations held for that account, which stop working immediately
Data held by SellerHint services for that account

Some information may be retained where the law requires it — for example, billing and tax records — or where it is needed to resolve a dispute or prevent abuse. The exact categories and periods will be stated in the privacy policy once retention rules are set.

What deletion does not do

It does not delete your eBay account or anything eBay holds.
It does not end your eBay listings.
It does not delete the SellerHint data stored on your own Mac; that is yours to remove.
It does not delete backups you have made yourself.
It does not, on its own, cancel a subscription. Cancel that separately through your billing channel.

Backups, subscriptions and reversibility

Backups held by SellerHint: Any system backup containing deleted data ages out under the retention schedule, which will be published with the finalised privacy policy.
Active subscriptions: Cancel through the channel that bills you — Apple for App Store purchases, SellerHint for direct billing. Deleting an account does not guarantee a refund.
Connected stores: Authorisations are ended. You can also revoke SellerHint access directly on eBay at any time.
Can deletion be reversed?: Treat it as permanent. Export anything you want to keep first.
Processing window: Not published yet. A processing window will be stated here once it has been set and can be met.
