SellerHint for Mac
Local save versus marketplace update
What happens when you save, what happens when you send, and how failures are reported.
Saving locally
A local save writes your changes to SellerHint storage on your Mac. It works without an internet connection, it is not visible to buyers, and it does not change any listing.
Sending supported changes
Sending changes is deliberate and separate. SellerHint distinguishes between saving work locally and sending supported changes to eBay. Remote updates are processed in a defined order so that one product update does not overtake another.
- Review the values on the store tab for the store you intend to update.
- Save your work locally first, so a failed send never costs you your edits.
- Use the send action for that store.
- Read the result. Some fields are supported for remote update and some are not.
Partial failures
A send can succeed for some fields or listings and fail for others. When that happens the outcome is reported per item rather than as a single success or failure, and your local data is unchanged by the failure.
