Both products
What is SellerHint?
SellerHint is operational software for eBay sellers. This article explains what it does, what it deliberately does not do, and how the two products differ.
SellerHint is software for the work behind eBay selling: product records, listing information, images, orders, inventory quantity, marketing, scheduled work, buyer messages and connected stores. It is aimed at sellers who manage a meaningful number of listings, and at sellers who run more than one eBay store.
What SellerHint is not
- It is not a marketplace. Nothing is listed for sale on SellerHint itself.
- It is not a payment processor, and it does not handle buyer payments.
- It is not a shipping carrier and does not buy postage.
- It is not an official eBay product, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by eBay Inc.
- It is not a multichannel platform. SellerHint is currently centred on eBay seller operations.
The two products
SellerHint for Mac is a native macOS application. Product records, images, preferences, drafts and cached marketplace information are stored primarily on your Mac. SellerHint Web is a separate browser-based product with its own account, backend, database and storage.
What SellerHint does not promise
- It does not guarantee more sales, better search placement or higher revenue.
- It does not guarantee that a listing will be approved by eBay.
- It cannot prevent every oversell, because a sale can happen between two checks.
- It cannot change marketplace policies, request limits or service availability.
